The way I think about my work is I’m a behavioral scientist who creates visual designs. My passion for science started in the Anthropology department at Texas Tech University. Observation, human experience, and research were at the center of my studies, but it wasn’t until I became an educator that I found a real world application for these skills.

As an art teacher, I would listen and watch for what inspired and sparked curiosity in my students. Through developing creative lesson plans and projects, I discovered my own affinity for art, which led me to further pursue my own interest in design.

Since leaving the classroom, I have earned an MFA in Design from the University of Texas at Austin and currently work as a visual and interactive designer at Dell Technologies. However, I’m always working towards my passion of using art, behavioral science, and design to empower and benefit others in my community.
